Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated:
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of our Terms of Service or any other agreement under which you use Simple CRM (the "Service"). It adds to the restrictions in that agreement. Words with a capital letter mean what they mean in the Terms. The AUP applies to every User, and to every script, integration or AI agent acting through an account.
1. Using the Service and our systems
You may not:
- access or try to access accounts, workspaces, boards or data you are not authorized to see, or get around permissions, private boards or column restrictions;
- probe, scan or test the Service for vulnerabilities, or bypass its security or authentication, except as allowed under the responsible disclosure terms on our Security page;
- scrape or crawl the Service, or collect data from it, other than through our published APIs and within their rate limits;
- overload the Service, or interfere with how it works, for example with excessive requests, bots or denial-of-service attacks;
- get around usage limits, rate limits or plan limits, for example by creating several free accounts;
- reverse engineer, decompile or copy the Service, or remove proprietary notices from it, except where the law allows it;
- upload or send viruses, malware or any other harmful code;
- use the Service for phishing, or to host or distribute malicious content;
- impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent who you are or who you work for;
- use the Service to send spam or other unsolicited messages, including through automations, email notifications or forms, or to send messages to people who have opted out or whose contact details were bought or harvested;
- use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent or deceptive;
- sell or share access to an account, or resell the Service without our written agreement;
- use far more storage, bandwidth or processing than normal use of your plan would need, in a way that affects the Service or other customers;
- use the Service to build or benchmark a competing product.
2. Content
You may not store, share or publish any content, including through public forms, shareable links or file uploads, that:
- sexually exploits or endangers children in any way;
- infringes anyone's intellectual property rights, or privacy or publicity rights;
- contains personal data that you have no right to process;
- is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, harassing or threatening, or promotes violence, terrorism or self-harm;
- attacks or demeans people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or another protected characteristic;
- collects passwords or payment details under false pretenses, for example a form that imitates another company's sign-in page.
3. Monitoring
We do not have to monitor the Service or Customer Data, and generally we do not. We may still check at any time that the Service is used in line with this AUP. When we receive a report or detect a possible violation, for example through automated security checks, we may investigate it and review the related content.
4. Copyright
We respond to notices of copyright infringement under our Copyright Policy.
5. Enforcement
If we reasonably believe that you, or anyone using your account, has broken this AUP, we may, with or without notice:
- remove or disable the content involved, such as a public form or shared link;
- revoke API keys or webhooks;
- suspend or end the account or workspace, in whole or in part;
- report the matter to law enforcement.
How we respond depends on how serious the violation is. When we can do so safely, we will tell the workspace admins what happened and give them a chance to fix it. We are not liable for actions we take in good faith to enforce this AUP.
6. Reporting a violation
To report abuse of the Service, such as spam, phishing, a malicious form or illegal content, write to simplecodesa+abuse@gmail.com. Include the link or the content involved and a short description. To report a security vulnerability, follow the instructions on our Security page.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP. For a material change, we will tell workspace admins by email or in the Service before it takes effect. If you continue to use the Service after that, you accept the updated AUP.
